Grades: Rising 7th thru 10th Time: 8:00 – NoonĬampers will work on singing, dancing, and acting skills. We will go outside at least 2 of the days so sunscreen and protective gear are suggested. It is suggested students have a digital camera or phone to use for their digital photos.

Campers will work in groups for the movie activity and should be prepared to be on camera/act in the film their group creates. They will learn very basic and easy functions in Photoshop and iMovie that they will use to edit their photos, create a frame animation, and produce a fun movie. Participants will get to experience the fun of digital photography, videography, and basic frame animation. June 27 – 30: Cupcake Masters & Pastry Chefs

Registration for each week is independent. If you have a love for cooking this is the camp for you. Grades: Rising 5th thru 12th Time: 8:30 – 11:30 A.M.Ĭampers will learn skills related to different camp themes each week (see below list). This camp requires no previous experience in computer programming. On the final day, teams will compete in a Hackathon to develop the best original app idea. Each day participants will learn about a new feature they can use to enhance their app ideas and complete mini-challenges. Grades: Rising 8th thru 10th Time: 8:30 – 11:30 A.M.Ĭampers will work in teams as they learn about app design and development. By the end of this camp, participants will be able to calculate probabilities and combinations while applying their new skills to the “real world.” Chances are high that you’ll love this camp!Ĭareer and Technical Education Exploration Learn about experimental and geometric probability while eating candy and playing games such as darts and cards. Grades: Rising 8th thru 9th Time: 8:30 – 11:30 A.M. Please make sure that you select your camp week based upon the next year's grade level of your child. Campers will practice using collaboration and critical thinking throughout the problem-solving process. Through engaging, hands-on activities students will design a plan for the challenge, and improve the design throughout the process. Grades: Rising 2nd - 3rd & Rising 4th - 5th Time: 8:30 – 11:30 A.M.Ĭampers will use the Engineering Design Process (EDP) to create solutions to grade appropriate challenges. Campers will have a deeper understanding of human-environmental interactions by the end of the camp. Most days we will be outside (weather permitting). We will be studying navigation, demographics, renewable energy, architecture, and land forms. Grades: Rising 7th thru 9th Time: 8:30 – 11:30 A.M.Ĭampers will explore the world around them. By the end of this camp students will be able to analyze character, setting, and plot differences between novel & film genres. Students will compare and contrast popular novels to film (ex: Divergent, Hunger Games).
